Sikalastic-320 NS is a single-component, non-sag, bitumen-modified, coal tar-free, moisture-cured polyurethane membrane used primarily for waterproofing applications. It is suitable for use in planters, between slabs, plazas and pavers, foundation walls, bridges, and tunnels.

• Base/Primary Waterproofing Layer: Sikalastic®-320 NS itself serves as the primary waterproofing membrane.
• Primers (used as needed depending on substrate):
• Sikadur®-22 Lo-Mod FS: For concrete (≤4% moisture), plywood, metals, and existing polyurethane coatings.
• Sikalastic® FTP Lo-VOC Primer: For concrete (≤5% moisture) and plywood.
• Sikalastic® MT Primer: For concrete with moisture content up to 6% (applied in two coats if >5%).
• Sikalastic® EP Primer/Sealer: For wood and metal surfaces.
• Sikalastic® PF Lo-VOC Primer: For porous concrete (≤4% moisture), plywood, and steel.
• Joint and Crack Treatment: Sikaflex® sealants and optionally Sika Flexitape Heavy reinforcement for crack/joint detail coats.

Applied for waterproofing a wide range of below- and above-grade concrete and structural applications including planters, foundation walls, and deck areas.

• Surface Prep: Must be clean, dry, and sound. Green concrete should have CSP 2 to 5 profile.
• Application Methods: Brush, squeegee, trowel, or roller.
• Vertical Application Limit: Up to 90 mils per coat.
• Horizontal Application Limit: Up to 120 mils per coat.
• Coverage Rates:
• 50 ft²/gal = 30 mils DFT
• 25 ft²/gal = 60 mils DFT (standard)
• 18 ft²/gal = 90 mils DFT
• 13 ft²/gal = 120 mils DFT
• Pot Life: Apply within 20 minutes after mixing with water catalyst.
• Curing Time:
• Without catalyst: 16–24 hours per coat
• With water catalyst: 2–4 hours per coat
• Full Cure Time/Flood Test Readiness: 16–24 hours minimum cure before flood testing
• Recoating Window: Within 48 hours. If exceeded, surface must be solvent wiped and reprimed.
• Temperature Range for Application: 40 °F to 110 °F (4.4–43.3 °C)
• Service Temperature Range: -25 °F to 200 °F (-31.7 °C to 93.3 °C)
• Humidity Considerations: High temperature and humidity accelerate cure. Do not apply on surfaces with active moisture vapor transmission.

• UV Stability: Not UV stable. Must be protected within 14 days of application.
• Membrane must be protected with drainage mat or protection board after flood test.
• Should not be used on asphalt surfaces or under thin-set tile. Mortar beds above membrane should be minimum 2” thick.
• Substrate must be sloped to drain to avoid ponding.
• Not recommended for submerged or ponded water conditions.
• Consult Sika Technical Services when used in vegetation-bearing plaza decks.
