This truly spectacular 1950's dress, rendered in a blush pink satin which is embroidered with pink lurex and cream threads in a swirling floral design, set against layers of matching pink tulle, which is framed by scalloped edging, is the perfect piece for your vintage collection.  

The wide square neckline is framed by scalloped petal edges, along the front and back of the dress, which set off the sleeveless cut. The fitted bodice, is accented by tailored darts, which run from below the bust-line and set off the cinched in waistline, which boasts a pipped detail in matching fabric. The full circle cut of the skirt, is accepted by elegant draped pleats along each side, which set off the scalloped edges of the satin top layer of the shirt, which draws in along the back of the waistline with a central metal zip and hook and eye, creating a wonderful scalloped frame around the triple tiered tulle skirt bustle feature of the back of the dress.

This dress has not been photographed with a petticoat, but one may be worn to add volume to the skirt-line.

Armpit to Armpit:  34 inches

Shoulder to Hem: 47 inches

Waist: up to 25 inches

Closures: This dress fastens along the centre back with a 14 inch metal zip and a hook and eye along the back of the waistline. 

Condition: This dress is in near perfect vintage condition. A small age mark along the centre back of the bodice above the top of the zip, and a small pin-sized grey mark along the back right hand side of the bodice near the top of the zip. Gentle and light thread lighting to the embroidery details along the scalloped edges of the dress and the top of the shoulders. Very gentle colour variation along the armpits of the dress, this appears a very light shade in difference. These minor details are not apparent when the dress is being worn, and only noticeable upon close inspection. Please refer to the photographs, as they form part of the condition report. 

Washing instructions: This garment should be dry cleaned

Fabric: Rayon lined, tulle layers along the back, a single tulle layer along the internal lining to the front of the skirt, satin, Embroidery.
