A fabulous late 1940 50s era vintage pouch handbag made from navy blue and gold gimp thread with a plastic bottom and drawstring handles.

These bags were hand crocheted from crochet catalogs of the era and are all unique and one of a kind.

This one is handmade with the heavy gimp cotton thread with bands of metallic gold thread finished with a ruffles at the top.

The bottom is a formed plastic disc that the bag is fastened to.
The bright gold cord drawstring ends in gold metal deco looking tips.
This is a quite roomy small purse since it expands.

8" tall
11" wide in the middle
5" when closed at the top.
Drawstring 10" to the end of the tips.

In excellent condition. The only tiny flaw I see is that one piece of the cord near the tip is slightly worn.
