The WRX STI comes equipped with advanced driving features, including a factory-installed water-cooled oil cooler. However, during high-performance scenarios like engine or turbo tuning—or intense conditions such as circuit driving—even stock models experience a rapid increase in engine oil temperature due to limited heat dissipation. This, in turn, raises the coolant temperature. Adding an air-cooled oil cooler core effectively manages not only engine oil temperature but also helps prevent excessive coolant temperature rises.

• When installing the kit, it is necessary to modify the mudguard, under cover, front bumper, front bumper bracket, air cleaner case, horn bracket, and exhaust manifold heat insulator.
• 5.5L of engine oil is required when installing the kit.

Features

• The 48mm wide, 15-stage air-cooled oil cooler core is installed inside the driver's side fender so as not to interfere with radiator cooling.
• Equipped with an air duct to maximize the performance of the air-cooled oil cooler core. The duct shape is designed to allow the warm air that passes through the oil cooler to be discharged outside the vehicle.
• The oil filter attachment is equipped with a thermostat to prevent overcooling, and has two holes for mounting a PT1/8 sensor.
• The core is installed inside the fender, but it can also be used in conjunction with the original fog lamps.
• An HKS oil filter is included in the kit.
