This wonderful quilted cotton jacket is a gauzy soft indigo cotton, with wooden buttons and finely woven trim. The inside is lined in a gorgeous and soft rayon medallion print. This is likely a 1970s India designer piece, as the original owner loved the finest items and had a lot of great Anokhi pieces, but this item is unmarked. The buttons are worn down and faded, and this piece has seen a lot of love. There's some fading down one arm, and when I washed the item the lining came loose from one section at the bottom, but otherwise this is a perfectly wearable piece that will keep you cozy whether you're home or out and about. Closes with loops over the buttons.
Bust measures 41", length 27". I found it a comfortable fit for a size L/10-12.
This item was originally owned by Andrea W. of Greenfield NH, who once said that "Denim was the worst thing that ever happened to fashion." She collected a stunning collection of designer pieces through her life, filling up armories and closets with her excellent taste through the years. Andrea loved travel, collected straw hats, and knew a good fabric when she saw one. I will be adding more of her wonderful pieces to my shop throughout the year.
