Panel gaps and seams depend on your body lines and mounting point precision. Most builders use quality gap filler around seams post-install to create a clean transition before primer and paint. Check fitment at each connection point during dry-fit.

Should I paint the pieces before or after installation?

Paint after installation for best results. This allows you to address fitment, sand and blend seams, and finish all panels as one cohesive unit. Primers are easier to apply and blend across the full body once everything is mounted and properly gapped.
