Meet Rumak and Sample, the clue is in the name with this delight, she of course is an extra special and holy grail rare 1970s dream dress by Rumak and Sample, who were a couture bohemian boutique in London throughout the 1970s. This is a really special example, she is crafted in beautiful white cheesecloth cotton with red sleeves, which feel like a nylon. Like all Rumak dresses she is emblazoned in details, with the most stunning embroidered bust panel, with little people and reindeers and applique flowers. She also is covered in beautiful ribbons and trims and has a stunning large applique flower to her lower skirt. Rumak really did know how to nail those details!

This dress is absolutely one of a kind and is also one of the most special pieces I have had the honour of sourcing. I cannot wait to see where she is headed today..

The Rumak and Sample has been freshly laundered and is ready to wear. Dry clean or spot clean only. She is in good vintage condition, ALL Rumak dresses have flaws, I think this is due to the delicacy of them. This beauty has a few small and feint marks to her sleeves, along with a couple of small nicks, some very slight yellowing under her arms and under her bust panel and what looks like slight colour transfer inside her bodice which cannot be seen from the outside. Really, this is one of the better condition ones I have seen, they are very rarely perfect. 

This beauty has minimal signs of vintage wear, but please bear in mind that our pieces are true vintage, they’ve been danced in and they have been lived in, so all of our garments will carry your usual signs of vintage wear. Anything that we think is outside of what would class as usual vintage wear, we will state.
