Rare vintage 1940s cotton velvet peplum jacket with matching belt.  Beautiful rich forest green color, gathered bust, dagger collar and pockets.   Style the collar open, or button it closed for a high-neck look.

*Measurements are taken from the outside and the jacket is rather thick, so ensure to leave extra room to fit inside.

Condition

Good with some signs of fading on the flanks of the peplum, the sleeve cuffs, the belt buckle and tip, and on the back of the collar (see images).  It is noticeable fade, but seems to be concentrated in those few areas.  There is a faint, squiggly strand of wear on the back of the peplum (see image).  The buttons are also showing signs of age with crackling, however they are not visible during wear.  the backing on the belt is also aging, though not visible.  Presents really well!
