Time-delay (slow blow / dual-element): This fuse type is designed to tolerate momentary surges or inrush currents (for example motor starts, pump starts, heaters) without blowing immediately. Then it will blow if the overload is sustained.
Dual-element: Often means the fuse has an element for the overload part plus an element for the short-circuit part, giving better protection overall.
Class G cartridge: These are standard industrial fuses, reasonably compact, and compatible with many fuse holder systems. The “rejection” feature helps ensure only the correct fuse class (and rating) is used in the holder. platt.com+1
High interrupt rating: Means the fuse can safely interrupt very high fault currents without catastrophic failure (for example the 100 kA AC rating). Good for industrial/utility applications.
480 VAC rating: Makes it suitable for higher-voltage industrial systems, three-phase supplies, etc.
Melamine body construction: Provides insulation, housing for cartridge fuse, suitable for standard fuse holders.
Physical size / cartridge shape: Standard size allows replacement in fuse holders designed for SC-type fuses and compatible with holders rated for 30 A, 480 V.
