Will this chalk wash off once I start working?

Blue chalk is designed to stay visible through prep and cutting but will rinse or wipe away with water or solvent. If you're concerned about marks remaining after final assembly, test on scrap material first or use the chalk as a guide only during layout.

How long does the 100ft line last before it needs replacement?

Chalk lines are durable but wear with heavy use. Once the line becomes frayed or no longer snaps cleanly, most techs replace it. You can buy replacement chalk line spools separately if needed.
