About Dzi Beads (Chong Dzi Beads):

Dzi Beads are ancient beads from Tibet, similar to etched carnelian, created by baking natural dyes onto agate to form intricate designs. These beads are believed to have been made between the 1st and 6th centuries CE. Despite this, the exact composition of the dyes used remains a mystery, making Dzi Beads one of the most enigmatic antique beads. Primarily found in Tibet, they are also discovered in Bhutan and the Ladakh region of the Himalayas. Each design, particularly the distinctive "eye" pattern, holds different meanings and is highly sought after. In Tibet, these beads are cherished as talismans for wealth and prosperity, passed down through generations and valued as precious adornments.
