1950年代に採用されたシャンブレーシャツの再現した一枚で、時代の移り変わりと共に型や仕様に変化が見られたが、1950年代に採用されたシャツは裾の両サイドはマチ付きが付き、台襟のある襟に前立てが付いた古き良き時代の仕様になっています。この時代のシャンブレー生地はテンションが甘く織られているので柔らかく、洗濯を繰り返す事で縮みが生じて特有の風合いに仕上がっていきます。

The chambray shirts adopted by the US Navy have been a long-lasting utility shirt since the 1930s. This particular piece is from the 1950s. While its design and specifications have evolved over time, the shirts adopted from the initial period to the 1950s feature gussets on both sides of the hem, a collar stand, and a separated front placket. The chambray fabric from this era has a unique texture woven with loose tension, resulting in a distinctive look after repeated washes.
