A photo book featuring the natural, unposed lives of cats, captured with a sense of seasonal atmosphere.
This new release, “Zutto Kimama Neko” by popular cat photographer Aoitori, presents everyday moments of cats in their most relaxed and authentic states. Created from the photographer’s carefree time spent with cats, the book is filled with candid, genuine scenes.
Aoitori has long been known for capturing uniquely expressive and almost human-like cat moments in works such as “Even Cats Can Make Nose Bubbles” and “Kimama ni Neko da mon.” This latest collection continues that style, beautifully showcasing their charming and lovable expressions.
The cover features a viral image of a cat “carrying the Earth on its back,” which gained over 6 million impressions and 750,000 likes on Instagram, and 1.09 million impressions on X (formerly Twitter). The back cover includes a cat image titled “Found Inari Sushi,” which also went viral with millions of views and hundreds of thousands of likes across social media.
In total, these cover images alone have been viewed over 10 million times and received more than 1 million likes. Inside the book, approximately 150 cats appear, offering a wide variety of playful, relaxed, and heartwarming everyday moments.
