Gorgeous black taffeta cocktail dress with matching bolero jacket by Tea Time of California. Circa 1940s to early 1950s.

Black on black machine embroidered swirly design on medium weight black taffeta.

The dress features a sweetheart neckline accented with a fold down cuff and ruched faux cross over bodice.

Wide self-fabric shoulder straps are not adjustable.

Front and back boning for a firm fit.

Nipped waist and straight skirt with front pockets.

Mid-calf length skirt with an inverted center back walking pleat.

Unlined. Does up the left side seam with a 12-1/2" long metal zipper.

The matching open front bolero jacket features bracelet length sleeves which are cut as part of the jacket.

Small mandarin style self-fabric collar.

Small shoulder pads which can be removed with a few snips of the scissors.

The bolero is unlined with no closures.

DESIGNER LABEL: Tea Time / Made in California

CONDITION: Excellent. No discoloration, fading, snags, picks, holes, stains, rips, odors, missing or loose embroidery, or other issues. Gently worn and well cared for.

The only thing is the shoulder pads inside the bolero have hardened with age, but are still usable. Or, if you prefer they can be removed.

SIZING: There are no size tags. Based on the measurements below, I'd say this would best fit a modern size Small.
