Heather Givans here, creator of Crimson Tate Studio Patterns and Windham Fabrics designer.  It was while I was living in Northern Minnesota, hanging out with my 98 year old Grandma, working a full time job that allowed me to work from home (before work from home was a thing) and sewing all the time.  I was headed to a craft fair to vend my wares at the local Lutheran church, like you do in Northern Minnesota, when I decided I needed a lil' decor - a lil' flair - for my booth.  

I whipped together a sewn Lake Superior shaped pillow and the rest is history.  This lead me down the path of creating Minnesota shaped pillows and then Indiana shaped pillows and now, we've created all 50 states and I've sewn 100s of Indianas since moving back to my homestead in Downtown Indianapolis.  Fast forward 14 years of pattern writing, fabric design, being Quilter-In-Chief at Crimson Tate, and giggling and here we are.  Hello State Pillow patterns!  An easy but satisfying project for customers to create memories.

Quilt the pillow, add applique and embroidery, embellishments, and more.  The ways in which to customize your love of your state is endless. This Hello State Pattern is the springboard to creativity.
