This reinforcement bar is engineered for OEM bumper geometry. If your aftermarket bumper cover uses different attachment points or depth, test-fit the assembly before final installation to confirm clearance and alignment.

Does the bar need to be painted or primed before install?

The bar sits behind the bumper cover and won't be visible. Paint it only if corrosion protection is a concern for your climate; otherwise, bare installation is fine.

Do I need any hardware to bolt this on?

Hardware is not included. You'll use the existing factory fastener holes and bolts at the mounting points. Confirm your current hardware is in good condition before reassembly.
