WOW's FreeSpace Girth bridges pressure away from your horse's Pectoral muscles and Rectus Abdominus muscles, allowing your horse to finally engage, lift his thoracic sling, and move with the forward, free, maximum stride length he was born with. Finally - an anatomical girth that's actually designed to be anatomically-friendly for your horse!

WOW's new, innovative, patented design features an Active Cushion Sternum Plate that has two parts:

The outer part is a reinforced plate that will not give under girth tension. This is spaced away from the horse by the inner part, the Active Cushion. The Active Cushion holds the Sternum Plate away from the horse’s rib cage. The Sternum Plate makes the girth straps bridge the pectoral muscles and it is this lack of pressure that is the key to allowing the horse to engage by the use of a now unimpeded Rectus Abdominus and achieve better leg retraction due to the Ascending Pectoral muscles not being squashed!

These girths are made from leather, and is offered in six colors.

The buckles of this girth are mounted together to a single double-buckle guard backing. The WOW FreeSpace Short Girth - Leather is also available in a single buckle guard model which allows each buckle to be held slightly further apart or at opposing angles than this double buckle guard model.

The Sternum Plate comes in two widths - Standard (7.25" wide) and Slim (4.5" wide).  Determine the width of sternum plate necessary by measuring the space between your horse's front legs from point of elbow to point of elbow.

The FreeSpace Girth comes in four styles - Dressage, Long, Stud, and Western. Lambswool covers are available for both standard-width and slim FreeSpace Sternum Plates. All FreeSpace Girths are also available in synthetic vegan leather.

As with all things designed and manufactured by WOW, every single piece and part of the FreeSpace Girth is modular, and can be changed or replaced very easily by you.
