Product Description: Introducing the vibrant Green Chevron bead, a stunning example of Venetian craftsmanship. The bead features a beautiful floral pattern on its cross-section, showcasing its intricate design and bright color.
Due to lighting conditions during photography, the actual product may appear slightly different in color compared to the images. Additionally, the color seen in the images has been adjusted to reflect how it would look in a well-lit indoor environment.
Chevron beads, also known as Star Beads or Rosetta Beads, were invented by Maria Barovier in the late 1400s on the island of Murano, Italy. While Venetian bead-making techniques often draw from ancient methods, the Chevron technique is uniquely Venetian. Chevrons have been discovered in layers up to ten, with blue being the most common color. However, red, green, and black Chevrons are considered rare. The Chevron technique was later adopted in the Netherlands. The term "Chevron" refers to the bead's characteristic zigzag pattern.
