Late 60's or early 70's empire waist regency style maxi. This beautiful home sewn dress is made of a linen like woven fabric in off white. I don't know the exact fabric (no tags of course), but its a middle to heavyweight woven cotton that reminds me of linen, but isn't prone to wrinkling! Block printed stylized poppies and ferns are red, magenta, green and brown. The dress has a fitted bodice with a round neck and princess seams that continue to the hem. The A line skirt attaches at the empire waist, which has red piping and bow, and slightly flairs out to the ankle length hem (depending on your height). Has 2. 5" hem if you want to lengthen it. Set in sleeves are long with elastic at the wrist and a ruffle below that. There is a hook and eye closure at the wrist. 20" metal zipper and hook and eye in back. Perfect vintage dress for an Emma themed (Jane Austen) garden party, very cottagecore! (A bit early, but it would be a lovely vintage Christmas dress too!)
