No prep needed. The sensor is integrated and ready to plug in. Just connect it to your existing ABS wiring harness at the wheel.

Will this stop my ABS warning light if it's on?

If the light is on because of a bad wheel speed sensor or hub bearing, this assembly will fix it. If the problem is elsewhere in the ABS system, you'll need to diagnose further with a code reader.
