Do I need to apply clear coat, or does this come sealed?

Will the carbon fiber yellow or fade without UV protection?

Real carbon fiber will discolor and degrade under direct sunlight without clear coat protection. A quality clear coat layer stops UV penetration and keeps the weave looking sharp. This is why sealing the edges and the entire exposed surface is essential after installation.

Are the edges sealed, or do I need to seal them myself?

The edges arrive unsealed. Before final assembly, sand and seal all edges and internal surfaces with epoxy or your preferred edge sealant to prevent moisture absorption and delamination. This step is critical for longevity, especially on the trunk perimeter where water exposure is highest.
