Will this pump work with my existing washer fluid reservoir and hoses?

Yes. This pump uses the factory connector and mounting location, so it bolts in without plumbing changes. Your existing hoses and reservoir work as-is.

What makes this different from a standard washer pump?

Cold climate pumps are built with anti-freeze-up internals and tighter tolerances to prevent motor stall when fluid thickens. Standard pumps will cavitate or fail in extended freeze cycles — this one won't.

Do I need to drain my washer fluid before installation?

Not necessary. Disconnect the hose from the old pump, pull the pump out, and swap it in. Fluid stays in the reservoir. If you want a clean install, drain first — but it's optional.
