Two Piece Ihram Set FAQ

What is Ihram?

Ihram is the sacred state a Muslim enters before performing the pilgrimage of Hajj or Umrah. It involves both:

• A spiritual state: Entering a condition of purity, devotion, and specific rules of conduct.
• Special clothing: Simple garments worn to symbolise equality, humility, and detachment from worldly status.

For men and women, Ihram begins after making the intention (niyyah) and reciting the Talbiyah prayer before crossing the designated pilgrimage boundary (miqat).

Is this Ihram set pre-stitched?

No, this set consists of two separate, non-tailored polyester sheets.

How to wear Ihram?

Traditionally, during the state of Ihram, men wear two plain, unstitched white cloths:

• Lower cloth (Izar): Wrapped around the waist to cover from the navel to below the knees.
• Upper cloth (Rida): Draped over the shoulders and upper body.

There are also some basic guidelines to follow for men;

• No stitched clothing shaped to the body (shirts, pants, underwear).
• Sandals should leave the ankles and top of the feet exposed.
• The head must remain uncovered while in Ihram.

How should I care for my Ihram Set?
