Our inspiration for AW20 was Winter in Venice. From the end of January onwards, Venetians begin preparations for Carnival. Though the city is often still flooded and windswept revellers are undaunted celebrating this festival that marks at least the beginning of the end of winter. We worked in collaboration with a local up-and-coming Maltese designer, Saz Mifsud, on a range of accessories inspired by these decadent masks and costumes. Events meant we couldn't travel to Venice for our shoot, but we're still going to draw inspirtation from this tradition that marks the start of better times ahead.
