Matt Calavani has been making the 2001 Bing Pintail Lightweight version for over 20 years and the permanent update is available after a year of experimentation and refinement. With the redesigned Type 2, Matt revisited the original 60's version's semi-pig outline, flatter nose rocker, and a tail that is a more pronounced pintail as opposed to a round pin. The new Pintail Lightweight Type II is the result of feedback from his team riders as well as his own experiences on this new model. The difference in the way the new Type II version surfs vs the older version is apparent immediately and takes this proven design to a whole new level. This board lives up to its reputation as an all-around functional design for all types of surf that excels in medium to head high waves at both point and beachbreaks.
