This brightening serum focuses on the skin’s moisture barrier and helps create a brighter-looking complexion. 

The formula contains the brightening active ingredient niacinamide, using SK-II’s uniquely standardized double nicotinamide and PITERA™. This ingredient suppresses melanin production to help prevent dark spots and freckles. It also includes PITERA™, SK-II’s exclusive naturally derived ingredient created through a unique fermentation process using a special yeast strain. PITERA™ contains more than fifty vitamins, amino acids, minerals, and organic acids, and helps maintain the skin’s natural health. Bisabolol is added to gently condition the skin and replenish moisture. Inositol, a moisturizing ingredient derived from rice bran and sometimes considered part of the broader vitamin B group, helps address dryness.

Based on more than thirty years of SK-II’s brightening research, this serum targets the root causes of dark spots. It contains the same brightening niacinamide, PITERA™, and bisabolol found in SK-II’s top brightening serum, GenOptics Ultraura Essence, with the addition of inositol. The formula adheres closely to areas of concern and works to address the underlying causes of dark spots. Its lightweight texture absorbs easily and penetrates quickly throughout the stratum corneum.

To use, dispense one full dropper—about a two‑centimeter circle of serum—into your palm. Apply it first to areas where you want to prevent dark spots or to areas frequently exposed to UV rays, such as the cheeks. Blend it in using circular motions with your fingertips. Then spread the serum outward across the entire face to ensure even application.
