Product Description: The Etched Carnelian Beads Strand dates back to around 2500-1800 BCE. These beads are a remarkable piece of history and craftsmanship.
Etched Carnelian beads date from around 2500 BCE to 1800 BCE. Originating from the Indus Valley Civilization, these beads were decorated with patterns using natron extracted from plants, which were then baked at low temperatures of around 300-400°C. While they have been excavated from sites in Mesopotamia and Afghanistan, it is believed that these beads were originally crafted in the Indus River region and transported via land and sea routes.
