Type I, Class II indicates the garment is made for use in cooler climates and incorporates features specific to certain flight and operational requirements. The design includes a full-length front zipper, a bi-swing back for enhanced range of motion, and adjustable waist tabs for a customized fit. The CWU-27/P is equipped with multiple functional pockets: two chest, two thigh, two calf, and a left sleeve pocket with pen slots, allowing secure storage for tools, documents, or survival gear. Hook-and-loop closures at the wrists and zippered leg openings ensure a secure seal over gloves and boots.
