OMEGA merged with Tissot in 1930 forming SSIH (Sociéte Suisse pour l'Industrie Horlogère). Omega and Tissot produced several co-branded watches historically.
What's on Offer
We are pleased to offer this charming dual-signed 1940s time-only Omega/Tissot dress watch with what we think is a (historically) refinished dial - this would have been done a long time ago on the basis that this dial has taken on some patina. It is a rather pretty dial though and the watch is quite substantial in proportion at 35mm given the era it was produced. There is a recessed sub-seconds dial at 6 o'clock and Arabic numerals retain some of their original lume although they have faded somewhat. Slim pencil hands complete the dial which is encapsulated underneath an acrylic crystal. The case is chrome-topped and although it shows some marks of previous wear, there is nothing of concern for a watch of this age. The watch is a nice reminder of a mighty horological partnership that remains strong to this day as part of the Swatch Group.
