In the past we offered heat reflective lining that relied on silver stamping to retain body heat. Graphene stamping is an improvement, because graphene offers better thermal conductivity.
Here's a breakdown of how graphene in textiles works and the level of warmth it can offer:
Thermal Conductivity: Graphene is known for its excellent thermal conductivity, meaning it can efficiently conduct heat. When used in textiles, a graphene-stamped lining can help to regulate body temperature by transferring heat from areas of high temperature to lower ones, helping to maintain a more consistent thermal environment.
How It Helps with Warmth: The warmth provided by graphene is generally not as significant as the insulation layer (such as down or synthetic fill) or the outer layer of a garment. However, it can offer an additional layer of warmth by retaining some body heat near the skin, reducing heat loss, or even offering a mild "warming effect" if exposed to external heat sources (like sunlight or body heat).
Amount of Warmth: The degree of warmth from graphene itself in textiles is modest. Its primary role is in heat regulation rather than providing a significant insulating effect. In a graphene-stamped lining, it may enhance the garment's ability to maintain warmth in cold conditions, but it will not replace traditional insulation materials. The warmth might be felt as a slight increase in comfort, but the primary heat retention still comes from other materials.

While the warmth from a graphene-stamped lining fabric would not be a significant source of insulation compared to the outer and mid layers of a garment, it does enhance the garment's ability to manage body temperature and retain some warmth.
