About Dzi Beads (Chong Dzi Beads):

Dzi Beads are ancient beads from Tibet, akin to Etched Carnelian beads, created by baking natural dyes into agate to form patterns. They are believed to have been made between the 1st and 6th centuries AD, although the exact composition of the dyes remains a mystery.
