The design for the helmet originated from the Gaul region of the Roman Empire (now modern day France and Belgium), and was more than likely forged by Gallic smiths. Therefore the helmets retained the influences in construction and design of the original Gallic design. Fashioned with mirror polished brass buttons and rivets, a beautiful gold tread trim wraps all around the helmet. It sports a brow guard which can move up or down along with two hinged cheek flaps. A neck guard extends outwards protecting the wearers neck and has also been decorated with brass buttons.
