This vintage, circa 1930's, blouse has a fun, gentle clown look; it is made of a soft yellow color shantung style silk (slubbed), with full length sleeves featuring wide cuffs adorned with two rows of cupped black sequins finished with oil-slick rainbow black seed beads. The round collar is decorated with two rows of stiff black lace resembling a Pierrot ruffle collar. This blouse also features an interesting triangular panel, bedecked with black 'leaf' shaped spangles, arranged in a star shape and finished at the center with a cluster of the oil slick-rainbow seed beads. This is a pullover style blouse with only slight openings at back collar and cuffs, featuring lovely clear floral-star like buttons and loop closures! The overall condition is excellent to near mint, with light pit stains and four replaced sequins (also, this blouse would have been tucked in, which is why you may see some writing at the right side hem -this is from when the fabric was in production). No labels or maker's marks to note.
