More striped raffia is used to wrap the wire understructure, all around the hat's edges, that gives a flexible but sturdy shape to the crown. The woven loops that form the crown are lined with sheer ivory mesh. In very good condition, the hat has a bit of faint yellowing to the raffia and lining from normal use/age, but no other issues to note. This striped raffia straw 1950s hat would look lovely with everything from a vintage day dress, to a summer skirt suit, to a wide-leg pant and sailor top, versatile, casual chic!
