The Victron Quattro 48/15000/200-100/100 is a 15kVA inverter charger designed for demanding off-grid, backup and hybrid power installations. It accepts two independent AC inputs, making it suitable for sites with both a generator and a grid or shore power connection. At 48V DC input and 230V AC output, it is built for large residential, commercial and marine applications where high continuous power and reliable automatic transfer are essential.
The Quattro range sits above the MultiPlus in Victron's inverter charger lineup by virtue of its dual AC input capability. Where a MultiPlus accepts one AC source, the Quattro manages two independently, with automatic priority selection. In practice, this means a site can have grid or shore power on AC input 1 and a generator on AC input 2. The unit switches between them automatically based on availability and programmed priority, without any manual intervention or external transfer switch for most configurations.
The 200A charger is substantial for a unit of this class. Charge current is programmable, and the adaptive algorithm adjusts the charge profile based on battery behaviour rather than applying a fixed curve. This matters for mixed or ageing battery banks where a rigid profile can cause undercharging or stress. The 48V nominal voltage suits larger battery banks where lower current at equivalent power reduces cable losses and heat.
VE.Bus connectivity is central to how this unit integrates into a wider system. Connected to a Victron Cerbo GX or similar GX device, the Quattro reports state, alarms and metering data to the VRM portal. Multiple units can be configured in parallel for up to 90kVA, or in split three-phase arrangements, all managed through VEConfigure software. This scalability makes the Quattro 15kVA a practical choice for commercial sites, large off-grid properties and critical backup installations where a single unit may not be sufficient long-term.

At 72kg, the Quattro 15kVA requires two people and appropriate lifting equipment for safe positioning. Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician with experience in inverter charger systems. For any grid-connected application in the UK, the installation must comply with G98 or G99 requirements as applicable, and the relevant Distribution Network Operator must be notified. High-current DC cabling between the battery bank and the unit must be correctly rated and fused. VEConfigure software is required for commissioning, parallel setup and three-phase configuration. Victron recommends using a Victron GX device for full system monitoring and control.
