This is an alternator purpose built for dodge Jeep and Chrysler 3.9 4.0 5.2 and 5.9L engines.

fits up to 98 grand cherokee and wrangler 4.0L, 99+ is NOT what this  item fits. Please look up the 3.7, 4.0, and 4.7L alternators for that application. Large case options should not be used on 4.0L XJ and ZJ Jeep engines unless you are willing to modify / cut your bracket.

for OBD1 vehicles a plug is included to wire up, and basic instructions for doing so. For OBD2 vehicles you do not need to use the included plug, just plug it into the stock plug.
