SOLD Beautiful Condition Old Turned Wooden Red Apple BoxI think these are great things in all of their variety, each different from the next due to when it was made, size, how it was painted, and the life it has led. This one earlyish 20th century I believe, with a pink painted flower on the interior of the lid. Turned apples of this sort were made in Japan beginning in the late 19th century for Western export. This is a lovely example. 3 1 2" d x 3 3 4" t. Very good condition, beautiful paint, lid fits
