Description: Originating from the Indus Valley Civilization, these carnelian beads feature patterns drawn using natron, a liquid derived from plants, and then baked at low temperatures of around 300 to 400 degrees Celsius. While such beads have also been discovered in Mesopotamia and Afghanistan, it is believed that they were primarily produced in the Indus River region and transported overland and by sea.
